Pumpkin Patch

For Family Home Evening tonight we went to the Pumpkin Patch with Travis, Tarah, Bryson and Lucas! Everyone had a lot of fun. It was such a perfect Fall evening...cool but not cold.
The kids had fun climbing this thing...

Alyssa made it!

Love these boys!!

Ky made it too!

Fun cousins!!

Kylie showing her pumpkin to Trevor

Such a big girl carrying her pumpkin around. :-)

Kylie loved petting the animals!! p.s. if you're wondering about the 4th of July bow...we were in a hurry heading out the door and that was the only bow I could grab quickly. :-) Yeah, wrong holiday, totally doesn't match...that's what happens sometimes these days! It just needed to serve a purpose, to keep her hair out of her eyes. :-)

Trevor turns 5!!!

Trevor had his 1st "friend" birthday party last weekend. He had so much fun!! First we played games. Here's a picture of them trying to stomp out eachother's balloons.
Then they did an egg relay race where they split up in to 2 teams, and they each had to walk to the other end of the yard carrying an egg on a spoon.
They also played the classic Pin the Tale on the Donkey, but I didn't get a picture of it.

Then we had cake and ice-cream. He had a Batman themed party so we got him a batman cake. Well, in an attempt to NOT let his sister see his cake, he smashed part of it trying to cover it up with the lid of the box it came in. Ohhh kids.

So apparently, Trevor's friends have horrible voices! :-)

The crew!
So, the next day was his actual birthday, and he got a Leapster! Also a few games and a case.
Kylie did not understand why SHE didn't have any presents to open, and Trevor was SO sweet and told her she could open one...until he was done opening his, and wanted it back to open. He is such an indian giver. :-)

He also got this awesome Lego set from his Grandma and Grandpa. So far we put together the motorcycle and helicopter. We still need to put together the big truck...it's a little tricky cause Kylie can not be around...we tried that and she likes to come take big handfuls and throw them!

This was his family b-day party BR cake (ice-cream & cake! ice-cream & cake!)
The day after his b-day he got to go spend some b-day money he got from his other grandparents and scored a dragon imaginext castle, skateboard, a walrus webkin, and a camera!
I can't believe Trevor is 5!!! He is getting so big, everytime I pick him up I wonder how much longer I will be able to do that. He is really heavy! He outweighs his big sister. :-) Trevor is crazy, loud and can be a handful, but he is SO fun to have in our family. He has such a sweet heart and even though he can be rough with his sisters, there are moments where you can tell how much he loves them. He'll say sweet things to Alyssa like, "Alyssa, you look really pretty." and "Alyssa I love you, you're the best sister in the whole world!" The second Trevor opened his Leapster, Alyssa wanted one. Trevor took turns with Alyssa his whole b-day, letting her play with his brand new toy. He's also really sweet with Kylie and whenever he comes home from school Kylie says, "TREVOR!!!" and is really excited to see him. He still really enjoys playing sports and got to play soccer this season. He is so fun to watch and scored 7 goals one game! :-) He's full of questions and makes us LAUGH all the time.
Love you buddy!

Swimming!

The kids have been swimming a lot this Summer, and getting really good at it! Alyssa and Trevor can swim all around the pool, even in the deep end, and even jump off the diving board with no floaties.

Kylie has become a little fish these last few weeks. She's completely independent now with the help of her floaties. Nobody has to hold her anymore. She just kicks around the pool, it's so fun!

She loves to jump in too! She says, "Ky-Ky's turn!"

Alyssa lost her 4th tooth!!

Alyssa lost her tooth in her sleep! It was really wiggly the night before and I wanted to pull it out but she would not let me. So the next morning she came downstairs and sat down next to Trevor and me. After a few minutes, Trevor asked Alyssa, "Alyssa did Mom pull out your tooth last night?" She said, "No." Trevor then said, "Oh. Why is there such a big hole in your mouth then?" I looked and was like, "Alyssa! You lost your tooth! Where is it?!" She was so surprised, she had not even realized it was gone. I wondered if she had swallowed it, but I went up and looked in her bed, and there it was!

Alyssa's First Dance Recital--Tiki Room

A few weeks ago was Alyssa's first dance recital. Her class of 5 kids did a little tap dance to Disney's "Tiki Room." It was soo cute. She was really nervous to get up on that big stage, but with a little bribing, she did it! I think her favorite part was definately the costume and make-up.
These pics were taken at the dress rehearsal.

Doesn't she look like she's having so much fun? :-)

After the show Grandma Karen took us out for ice-cream to celebrate. We are so proud of Alyssa for getting up on that big stage. We asked her if she wanted to do it again, and she said, "YES!" I'm so glad she ended up liking it. By the way, we in no way forced her to do this, she had the choice, and she wanted to. But as the day got closer, she did not want to do it, and that's where the bribing came in. :-)

Alyssa lost her 3rd tooth!
