Alright. Here's the deal. February is over.
We went over our budget a little bit tonight. ($15) And, I can't promise that we won't make a trip to In-N-Out tomorrow for lunch. But, the whole reason for me doing this budget is because last month was just a little out of hand, and we did much better this month, so, Mark's happy.
:-)
I'm going to keep doing a dining out budget, but I'm not going to bore you guys (and myself!) with posting it on my blog.
Thanks for be involved in my little budget.

February 23rd
tostadas for lunch, and frozen pizza for dinner. I think that is also the key to eating at home...having things that you can just pop in the oven when it's just not going to work to cook.:-)

Too bad February doesn't end BEFORE the weekend.

Happy Valentines Day!!
In-N-Out for lunch - $11.50
Mark's sister and her family are visiting so we had dinner at the Campbells--yum yum, thanks Campbells! Little baby Nolan is soooo cute, and my kids had SO much fun holding him. Thanks Krissa for being so great about that. :-)
$30.50 left, for 2 weeks. My plan? We can go out once per weekend, for the next 2 weekends, and it has to be somewhere cheap!

Leftover stew for lunch.
Mark and I had our Valentines Day date tonight and I know this is cheating, but we're not counting tonight's dinner in our budget. Birthdays, Anniversaries, and Valentines Day are exceptions. :-)

Diva!
Kylie loves wearing these sunglasses. She'll put them on and leave them on for over an hour, going about her normal business. :-)
Kylie is soo in to babies right now. She's been carrying around any baby she can find around the house (there are many) for the past few weeks feeding them "ba-ba's" or giving them binkies. This night she insisted on having her baby eat with her at dinner, and call her my 3rd child, but I let her, and she was feeding the baby her dinner, it was cute.

Our bodies are temples
A short conversation between Trevor and I this morning:
Trevor: "Our bodies are temples" (primary lesson, I guess)
Mom: "Yeah, you're right, they are temples!" (big smile on my face)
Trevor: "But they don't look like temples, cause we don't have angel Moroni's on our heads."
So funny, I loved it.

No money spent today...leftover pizza for lunch and stuffed shells for dinner. (and corn and french bread)

February 7th
Tough day...Round Table pizza for lunch - $21.50, and Rubio's for dinner - $13.50, then Leatherby's for dessert!! - $8
We had fun going out with family though!
I have learned that I need to plan REALLY EASY dinners for Friday and Saturday nights, because those nights are SUPER hard for me to cook.
Better luck next Saturday. :-)
$50.50 left. K, this is going to be hard. We spent half of our budget the first week, and most of that in one day. :-)
Again, it's the "entertainment" factor that's tough for me...we like to be OUT on the weekends and eating out is fun especially with friends. Anywhere else we'd go for entertainment would cost money too. So I'm just trying to figure out what amount of money I'm comfortable with spending on eating out. I really don't want to spend more than $100, but what else do we do on the weekends? And again, I think we'd be spending money anyways on anything else we'd do. I'm thinking way too much about this, but it's bothering me. Thanks for listening.

February 6th
Grilled Cheese for lunch, and Taco Soup for dinner. Yes, we have ate a lot of soup this week! Hearty filling soup though. :-) One of the hardest things for me about not eating out is not GETTING OUT. When we don't go out to eat, we really have nowhere to go and I get kinda stir crazy being home in the evenings on a weekend night. Normally I don't like running errands with the kids but we ended up going to Target and letting the kids pick out their Valentine cards for their classmates. $45 later, we were out of there...can't go to Target with out buying a few things I didn't go there for. :-) $2 for Starbucks hot chocolate on the way home. $93.50 left.

February 4th -- goal update and Cleaning My Car
Veggie Soup and Mac and cheese for lunch, Broccoli cheese & rice soup for dinner. I'm embarrassed to be posting my dinners. They have been so pathetic this week. $95.50 left.
P.S. this is so boring, but it's helping me, and this is my blog, so it's alright, right? :-)
**How's this for interesting...or disgusting...when I cleaned my car on Saturday, I found 17 socks! Kylie takes them off everytime we get in the car, and then they get shoved under seats and carseats, and in between carseats. I'm so happy to have all of her socks, clean and back in her drawer. I also found 9 hairbows. Kylie also takes her bow out and throws it when she's in the car. I thought I'd lost them all and was about to order some from Cami! (Abby's Bowtique)
