For the month of February...

I am going to post everyday. The readers of my blog (yes all 3 of you) are going to hold me responsible to my goal this month, which is to eat at home almost every meal. We have $100 to spend on eating out for the month of February. To some, that may seem like a lot. But, eating out adds up, and you don't even realize it! This includes Mark's lunch too. He's paper-baggin' it now. This is going to be hard for us because we like meeting for lunch once or twice a week, and we like going out to eat on the weekends. Well $100 is not going to allow much eating out for a family of 5, and I don't do fast food. So anyways, I think it will help me stick to my goal if I have to post whether or not I went out that day, and how much I spent. I don't want you guys to see me fail. =) Luckily, the 1st day of the month should be easy. It's Sunday so we never go out that day anyways, and we're going to my parents for dinner. =)

Sister Comparison

I just thought it would be fun to compare the 2 girls in our family. When Kylie was younger, I would compare her to Alyssa at the same age, and I thought they looked a lot alike, except the different color eyes. Now, I don't think they look that much alike. What do you guys think? (These are all pics of Alyssa at 19 months old, see previous postings for Kylie).
Look at how long her hair was!

Piggies

It took a lot of hairspray, and the whole time I was doing it, she was saying, "Oouuw!!" but I got her hair in pigtails. She looks so old!

Loving our tile floors

Seriously, who puts carpet under a kitchen table??? I guess not everyone has 3 kids, the oldest one 6, but still! I can imagine what the carpet would have looked like after a year or two. Gross.

And I'm sure there will be many more spills...I have to say that I'm pretty easygoing these days with spills because everytime I'm just so thankful I'm not scrubbing carpet.

Happy 6th Birthday Alyssa!!!

Alyssa is SIX today! She had a great day and was so super happy. We started the celebration last night when Grandpa and Grandma Campbell took us out to Chevy's...Alyssa's choice. They sang to her and gave her this sombrero which she thought was so cool. She got the cutest outfits for her new doll that Grandma made, a new backpack and a new outfit for herself too! (my camera ran of batteries at Chevy's so we didn't get pictures there. This was taken this morning).
This morning she opened presents which consisted of mostly American Girl stuff, her newfound love. Or obsession. She got a bed, a dress, a soccer outfit, and a new watch. She also re-got her Skechers. :-) She got those a little early for mom's sanity. :-) Pics taken this morning turned out really dark, so there aren't many unfortunately.

Then she went to school and brought cupcakes. I bought THIS for the occasion and I am so in love with it. I figure I will get a lot of use out of it bringing cupcakes to school 3 times a year and for other functions needing cupcakes. Then after school she came home to a candy and balloon decorated room which she just thought was the coolest surprise ever. Then she went out with Mom and Dad where she got ALL of our undivided attention, which she loved. She picked dinner, Wendy's, and then Leatherby's for dessert. We put 6 candle's in her ice-cream and sang her Happy Birthday (quietly) and she blew them out. (I'm so mad I forgot my camera!! I really struggled with capturing this day). When I was tucking her in bed tonight she said she "didn't want her birthday to end, it was the best birthday she's ever had." Melted my heart. She is so sweet and well out of the terrible 3's and 4's (my personal terrible 2's) and we are having so much fun together lately. Love you 'lyss!!

Why? Why? Why?

K, so blogger makes me so mad sometimes. Those pictures of my kids on the side...they cause me so much frustration. I wanted to find a new picture of Alyssa's for the sidebar, so I started editing it, and even took it off, and then went searching but couldn't find anything, so I ended up just uploading the same picture that was already on there. Well, NOW it's magically BIG like Trevor's! It used to be small like Kylie's. So, I thought maybe that's the trick, so I did it to kylie's picture...nope, still small. If someone figures this out, let me know. I might buy you something.

Making my life easier!

I am so happy right now. As of last night, all 3 of my kids have shoes that do not tie. I have completely given in and do not even care what my kids shoes look like. As long as they like them, want to wear them, and can put them on themselves, I'm happy. (of course I still help Kylie but hers are so quick and easy to put on). I don't know why I've wasted so many minutes wresting toddlers and kids to get them to hold still so I can tie their shoes. I give you....the shoes my kids can put on themselves (or easy for me to put on my toddler)...

Fun in the Snow!!!

First of all does anyone else have issues with getting the order of your pictures right on blogger? They should really make it easier. Anyway, we went sledding today and it was SO much fun. The kids had a blast and so did we! Here are a million pictures from the day! (and videos below)

Kylie wasn't sure about it at first.

She did start having fun though.

Kind of.

I couldn't stand how cute Kylie looked in her little snow outfit.

Trevor and Daddy

Kylie having fun.

Trevor was so funny. The second we got to the hill, he dove on to the sled and went for it. No hesitation whatsoever.
Alyssa and Ky

Alyssa didn't want to wear her hat anymore so I put it on, it was a little small but it kept my ears warm!
